As executive chef of both four- and five star guest houses in Silver Lakes
Golf Estate in Pretoria, Charlaine-Lee moves with deft grace between the
kitchens she runs at this exclusive enclave. At 28 years old, she is firmly
set on career path since she discovered her heart and soul in the kitchen.
Her true inspiration is the people who will enjoy her food. Beside loving
food and loving to cook she considers it as a gift and an honor to see the
look of pure joy when they have tasted something that came from her heart
with love. Cooking feeds the soul, both the Chef and the people who are
“Don’t get me wrong people can like what I’m cooking but to get that look
of pure satisfaction is something that I have to work hard for as for the
bulk of my guests being international.”
This is a elegant warm passionate kitchen, and any meal is the mirror image
of the young talented chef Charlaine-Lee Fouche. There is little value in
living in one of the world’s most bounteous environments without taking
advantage of all that it offers. In season, fresh and local, gets the
creativity on the plate!
Dinner is a spectacular unwrapped parcel served in candlelit splendour, in
our dining room in front of the Chef while cooking.
Breakfasts are celebrations of the creative spirit, individual masterpieces
inspired by the freshest local produce. Authenticity and originality are
hallmarks of Charlaine’s Kitchen represents.
All dining is open to the public, but as we always need to respect the
intimacy of our residents and guests, booking is essential limited.
